Enjoying the birds in the front yard

This afternoon after my hubby finished mowing the yard we were sitting out front enjoying the day, the birds were perching on the fence.

Honeybees

Today we added the second addition to our little farm, our honeybees! I'm so excited about them. It is so amazing to me how they work, work, work & make honey. My father in law is a beekeeper, we split one of his hives today & took home some of the original bees that have been passed down from generations. I can't wait to start beekeeping!!!! I already love our honeybees.

The weather here has finally warmed up and I can't get enough of being outdoors. I take my camera with me EVERYWHERE..... you never know when you're going to see something picture worthy! I chased a butterfly around my backyard today wishing it would land somewhere lol.... never did, hence no butterfly pictures.  But I did get a few good photos.....

Mac, the hunter.

We spent the afternoon at my parent's house cooking out on this beautiful Spring day!!! Below is my momma's baby, Mac. He likes to hide under the bushes to hunt for birds. He's a pretty good hunter & catches him a few from time to time. This is one of the sweetest cats I've been around. I'm not really a cat person. I'm more of a dog lover but this cat is a sweetie & has to love on everyone he comes in contact with.

New name..... Medlin's Memories Photography! Right now I am doing very limited sessions since I am new at this and don't really have the time to book sessions but I will do sessions for close friends & family at this time. Keep an eye out for future bookings available! Maybe one day I can work part time and actually make this & my crochet business my full time job! That would be wonderful.... but for now I'll shoot close friends and family for a small fee since I am learning and will get better with practice. I LOVE taking photos so I'll have fun with this! I'm very excited I get to shoot my best friend's engagement photos and bridal portraits.
